Executive Chairman and CEO

John Lothian News interviewed Randolf Roth, a member of Eurex’s executive board responsible for equity and index derivatives and client services over Zoom about Eurex’s MSCI offering. The MSCI has been in the news recently as MSCI awarded HKEX a license for the complex in Asia instead of SGX, where it had been for decades. The move to HKEX opened new doors for Eurex to compete for Asian MSCI business.

Eurex also recently extended their relationship with MSCI and expanded their trading hours to encourage more trading from Asia. We asked Roth about his new role at Eurex and where Eurex stands with the MSCI offering.

He talked about the drivers behind the growth in the MSCI offering and how a generational shift has influenced the index business. He discussed the impact of the buy side on Eurex’s strategy and how Eurex is going to grow its MSCI contract in the differing competitive environment. Here is JLN’s interview with Eurex’s Randolf Roth from Frankfurt, Germany over Zoom.
