CryptoMarketsWiki.com went live today with the launch of the latest media product from John Lothian, publisher of John Lothian News and founder of MarketsWiki. Cboe Global Markets, Murphy & McGonigle, Wedbush Futures and Athena Bitcoin are the initial sponsors of the new site.
“Murphy & McGonigle is thrilled to be a sponsor of the CryptoMarketsWiki,” said partner Joseph Lombard of the firm’s FinTech & Blockchain Practice. “We are longtime admirers of JLN’s ability to bring clarity to the complexities of trading and markets, and we look forward to the good work that CryptoMarketsWiki will no doubt do in this dynamic area.”
“Wedbush Futures is a proud sponsor of CryptoMarketsWiki,” states Bob Fitzsimmons, Executive Vice President of Wedbush Securities. “As one of the first firms to launch Bitcoin Futures through Cboe and subsequently through CME, we understand the value of making sense of the growing crypto economy. John and his team have an innate ability to decipher and interpret the labyrinth of the markets and we couldn’t be happier to support the launch of JLN’s CryptoMarketsWiki.”
“Cboe has a long-standing commitment to growing and advancing the financial industry through investor education. We are pleased to sponsor CryptoMarketsWiki, which will be an invaluable resource for investors looking to learn more about the emerging cryptocurrency space,” said Jay Caauwe, Managing Director of Business Development, Cboe Futures Exchange.
“The tremendous growth in crypto markets, digital ledger technology and related fintech begged for a new wiki to help people manage the huge challenge of understanding these new markets and technologies,” Lothian said.
“The current environment is a combination of the early 1970s with the launch of the Cboe and IMM and the late 1990s with the introduction of electronic trading,” he said. “With all kinds of people attracted to crypto markets or learning how to deploy blockchain, an objective and balanced source of information was needed. We hope CryptoMarketsWiki will help to fill that need,” Lothian said.
CryptoMarketsWiki is a microwiki that will complement MarketsWiki.com, the wiki Lothian launched in 2008 that has seen over 128 million pageviews.
The site, owned by CrypotMarketsWiki, Inc., will be managed by John Lothian News through a service agreement.
