Jim Toes is the president and CEO of the Security Traders Association (“STA”) and JLN spoke to Toes at the 2022 Options Conference about the STA and his own organization’s conference, the state of the options industry, and more.

Toes spoke enthusiastically about the future of the options industry because of the people in it. Despite competition, there is a strong sense of true interest and caring about the marketplace itself and a true spirit of guardianship, Toes said.

Inclusion and diversity were big issues at the options conference and are for STA. Toes spoke about the STA’s efforts in the area and its women in finance effort. Today more than half of the STA board today are women, he said. He also noted the high percentage of women participating in panels at the OIC conference. 

We asked Toes to give a plug for the next STA conference, which is in October in Washington, DC.
