John Lothian News spoke with Bruce Morris, the CEO of TABB Group, at FIA Boca 2022, about how things have changed since he joined TABB in 2018. TABB had a research content business, did consulting and put on events, and was “rocking…with no worries in the world,” Morris said.

But then along came Covid 19 and TABB’s world changed along with everyone else’s.

“Unfortunately, we had to pivot to keep the business going, so we sold our research content business to Bloomberg,” Morris said. “Larry Tabb went to Bloomberg in the spring of 2020 and TabbFORUM now remains the primary platform for the TABB Group.”

TABB Group’s members and clients are the contributors to TabbFORUM, he said, which is “a 90% contributed content information resource.”

A lot of exciting things happened in 2021, Morris said, including launching a new guide, the TabbFORUM Industry Guide. “We have over 3,000 companies in our database” and “if you want to add your company, there is a self-publishing element to the guide,” he said.

TABB launched new conferences last year, all virtual.  “There has been amazing engagement by our members in attending,” Morris said. “But this year we’re turning 180 degrees and going back to in-person conferences.”
